I was not a cheese lover since i tasted cheesecake at my friend’s place that was made by her grand mother with her special recipe. that was very creamy and instantly i fell in love with that cheesecake. after that i tried cheesecake from different places but it was just not that taste of cheesecake that delight me. most of them had a dry, eggy and smoggy feel.
One day a thought came to my mind while i was scrolling instragram why should i bake cheesecake for myself and then i started my baking journey. I explore different youtube channels and instagram pages for best cheesecake recipe and tried different cheesecake recipes.
After few trials, i made a perfect cheesecake that never fails to bring smile on my face. As i took my first bite i shouted loudly ” i did it”. I sent few of slices to my friends and family and they also liked it.

FEW THINGS THAT MAKE THIS CHEESECAKE THE BEST
here are simple tips and tricks that you have to follow
- No use of low quality Ingredients.
- Always use full fat ingredients to get the best results.
- Use full fat cream cheese that comes in shape of blocks. you can take Philadelphia cream cheese or any other brand that you love e.g. “Great Value” and “Good and Gather”.
- Full fat whipping cream.
- Full fat sour cream.

FOR CRUST
- 190 grams crackers or 10 pieces digestive biscuits
- 35g sugar
- 75g melted unsalted butter
CHEESECAKE BATTER
- 32oz full fat cream cheese
- 325g grainy sugar (about 1 and half cup)
- Half tsp salt
- 4 large size eggs
- 240g sour cream (1 cup )
- 120g full fat cream ( about half cup )
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- Two or three tbsp lemon juice ( fresh)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
TOPPING
use extra heavy cream
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Grind your crackers, sugar and butter until they are really smooth
- Grease your pan and put all the crust ingredients into it. pack it very tightly by pressing with measuring cup. and bake it for 8 min at 325F temperature of oven.
- For batter of cheesecake, firstly cream the cheese cream so that it comes into creamy texture. Add salt, sugar and vanilla and whip again for 4 to 5 min until combined well.
- Lightly whisk eggs in a separate bowl and add to the batter and combine them carefully until combined well.
- Add the sour cream, lemon juice, cream and cornstarch and mix at low speed until mixed well.
- Pour the batter into crust and cover it with aluminum foil outside the pan instead covering on the top.
- Take a large tray and fill it with 1 to 2 inches boiling water. place the batter pan into they tray and place this tray into tray and bake it for 80 min.
- Cool at room temperature for 10 to 15 min.
- Chill it in fridge for minimum 4 hours. after that removed from the pan and here is your cheesecake in NewYork style is ready to serve.
PERSONAL TIPS AND TRICK
- Bring your ingredients at room temperature before use.
- Mix your ingredients well so that your cream, cheese and sugar mix well.
- Prevent overmixing as overmixing caused too much air in batter.
- Bake your cheesecake in a water bath as it prevents your cake from cracking.
- Cover your pan with aluminum foil so that water not seep in it.
- Allow your cheesecake to cool down properly.
- Chill it in refrigerator at least 4 to 5 hours.
